Guided Interpretive Hike Into Petroglyph Canyon

Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area will offer guided interpretive hikes to Petroglyph Canyon on October 15th. Reservations are limited to the first 20 visitors. To reserve your spot, email Park Ranger Jim Flook at dflook@blm.gov or call 702-515-5352.

When: Saturday, October 15th
Where: Sloan Canyon Visitor Contact Station off of Democracy Dr. and Nawghaw Poa Road
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Length: 4 miles round trip
Difficulty: Moderate

Hiking Terrain: Sandy wash, light elevation gain. This trail requires scrambling (bouldering) over dry water falls; visitors should be comfortable lifting their own body weight with exposure to a 10 foot dry fall.
Recommended Gear: Closed-toe shoes, 2 liters or 64 ounces of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, gloves, snack and a day pack.
