Artist in Residence Guided Interpretive Hike

Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area will offer an artist guided hike on December 12th. The two winning artists from the Sloan Canyon Artist in Residence Program will lead a two mile hike on trail 100 and teach participants on the hike the artistic basics of how to sketch desert scenery with color pencils. Reservations are limited to the first 18 visitors.

Hiking Terrain: Sandy wash, elevation gain (upright walking) through rocky terrain.
Recommended Gear: Closed-toe shoes, 2 liters or 64 ounces of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, gloves, snack and a day pack.
