  • Trail Post Installation

We're looking for volunteers to assist us as we continue our project re-signing Sloan Canyon's trail system. We're installing large 3-sided posts that replace older and smaller posts and extend into currently unsigned areas. Having clear directional posts in this area is crucial in keeping hikers from wandering off-trail onto the many washes and legacy OHV tracks in the area. With shovels and other digging tools we'll dig holes at pre-determined spots and bury/anchor the posts in place. If you're comfortable hiking a couple miles with a landscaping tool this is the gig for you. We'll bring the posts, tools, protective gear, and water for refills. You bring sturdy closed-toed shoes, long-sleeved clothing, a snack, and a water bottle or two.
