Hike to Petroglyphs - 200 Trail

During the partial government shutdown all Sloan guided hikes have been cancelled.

This is guided hike for intermediate hikers. We're visiting the Sloan Canyon Petroglyphs via a route that bypasses the large rock shelves in the main canyon wash. Reservations are limited to the first 16 visitors.

We're entering a special management area in the McCullough Wilderness, so apologies but no dogs or other domesticated animals are allowed on this excursion.

Length: 4 miles round trip
Difficulty: Moderate
Hiking Terrain: Sandy wash, elevation gain (upright walking) through rocky terrain.
Recommended Gear: Closed-toe shoes, 2 liters or 64 ounces of water, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, gloves, snack and a day pack.

For questions or more information email Park Ranger Jim Flook at dflook@blm.gov or call 702-515-5352.
